Gabriel Bates is the proud son of immigrants, Mr. Jefferson and Mrs. Letia Bates, who instilled in him the values of love, care, and helping others from an early age. These principles have shaped his life and continue to guide his vision for public service.
Raised with a strong sense of community, Gabriel has lived in North Carolina, Washington, D.C., and now proudly calls Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, home. His diverse life experiences across different states have given him a broad perspective on the needs of communities and the importance of bringing people together.
Gabriel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and is a Certified Cybersecurity Analyst. He is also a dedicated public servant with nine years of law enforcement experience, where he worked tirelessly to protect and serve his community with integrity and fairness.
Beyond his professional achievements, Gabriel is a devoted family man. He is married to his wife, Janet Bates, and together they are raising three beautiful children. His commitment to his family mirrors his dedication to the people of Brooklyn Park—protecting, supporting, and building a better future for all.
